Big time waster
I watched this because it was Miss Collyer's next to last film. She had little to do in it and this is one of the worst movies I have ever seen.

Not convincing
Even Bala Lugosi could not rescue this movie. It is watchable if one is not too easyly bored.

Boring
Boring... Because the title gives away the ending. And the instant he died, I predicted the exact reasoning why. The rest of the 45 minutes were not worth watching. Would have been better as a short film say, 15 minutes. I don't feel everything in the middle was necessary.

Ho-Hum
I was glad to see this here at IA finally. It was one I was curious about. Unfortunately, it wasn't a very good mystery, mostly due to a lack of interesting characters, and a far-fetched solution worthy of a movie serial.
I downloaded the 689MB MPEG4 file. After watching it for a few minutes, and realizing the green splotchiness wasn't going to go away, I stopped, and did a simple gray-scale re-encode. The video quality was actually fine once the green was removed. Audio quality was good. There are missing frames here and there which do affect dialog.
